Kitui nominated MCA Jacinta mwoni has threatened to lead women to strip naked and curse Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai.
Taking to Facebook, Jacinta said, “This is totally unacceptable. Nimrod Mbai you must apologise to women, failure to that we are going to the streets and strip ourself naked and curse you..”
“Heshimu wanawake Na si tafadhali. Ndundeea wia I have freedom of association and freedom of speech.. wakenya wote tunasema Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka.” She added.
Jacinta, while addressing the press on Wednesday, narrated the ordeal she went through at her uncle’s burial last weekend.”After speaking about Kalonzo Musyoka, I was assaulted by goons. As a woman and a member of the family, I want to condemn that incident. Nimrod Mbai should apologize to the family.”
“This is not your first time to ferry youths to attack other leaders, we saw you fighting Kenya power officials. The government must take action; if we proceed this way, it will be dangerous for the people of Kitui. ” She alleged.
Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai has been put on the spot over his remarks that there is freedom of speech in Kitui East but freedom after the speech is not guaranteed especially for those who criticize President William Ruto.
The Wiper Party also condemned the assault of the nominated MCA through a statement by Secretary General Shakilla Abdalla, terming it violence against women.
