Drama as Kasolo and Ndeke clashed at Mercy Mawia’s burial

There was Drama as 2 Kamba gospel artists Stephen Kasolo and Ndeke ya Muthanga almost clashed at Mercy Mawia’s burial in Nyahururu.

Ndeke took to the stage to mourn Mercy and recalled how she attended her launch and they later met at Kithimani and shared a sugarcane as Mercy advised him.

The artist then began singing a traditional composition to give his tribute to Mercy.

“Mercy Kamuwetangi, the presenter, my mother, I loved you. Let me speak of what made me not go to the studio to produce a song about Mercy. I didn’t have the energy to compose or record because I loved Mercy.” Part of Ndeke’s song went.

“If I didn’t love Mercy from the heart, I could have gone to the studio and done a song but I don’t pretend. God bless you, We loved you mercy, rest in Peace.” Ndeke went on as a seemingly angry Kasolo took to the stage and talked to the MC Sammy Mulinge while pointing at Ndeke.

Last week, Kasolo sang a song about Mercy and seemingly took offense to Ndeke’s remarks. Ndeke’s microphone then went off, and he begged the MC to be allowed to finish.

Ndeke finished his speech by promising to stand with Mercy’s husband Mwangi and child Stephanie in prayer before he fell on his knees overcome by emotions. The crowd cheered him as he was assisted to walk back to his seat.

Kasolo’s and Ndeke’s beef is not new. The two have previously engaged in heated exchanges but early this year the two met and made peace which seems not to have lasted.
