Controversial Gospel artist Ken Kijana alias Ndeke ya Muthanga has spoken after clashing with his colleague Stephen Kasolo at Mercy Mawia’s burial.
An unapologetic Ndeke said he would have beaten Kasolo so badly that he would be in ICU today. He accused him of demeaning him before other artists at the function, refusing to greet him and later asking his microphone to be switched off.
Ndeke questioned what Kasolo wanted from him and explained why he was captured in a viral photo while asleep during the funeral service at Oljororok.
“What does this person want from me? Let’s start with yesterday, On Thursday I slept at home and woke up at 3 am Friday as I was to pick up some people from Nairobi. I was so tired that’s why a photo was taken when I was asleep.” Ndeke explained.
“When I was received by the ushers at the burial, I went to greet Biado, Mulisi wa Mukuyu, and Kasolo but Kasolo refused and shook his head. I don’t force people. The spirit of God told me Kasolo was coming to shoot a video not to the funeral.” the artist claimed.
Ndeke accused Kasolo of inciting artists and the late Mercy not to come to his function last year saying Mercy called him and disclosed it.
“Mercy’s voice told me to sing the song I sang during Mercy’s 10th year anniversary. When I took the microphone I said I didn’t compose a new song for Mercy because I didn’t have the strength. You then saw him(Kasolo) rushing to the MC to ask for my microphone to be switched off and that was done. Sammy Mulinge and Penina Malonza asked for the microphone to be returned.” Ndeke narrated.
“What do you want from me? You sing worship and I sing Benga, you said I was ashaming gospel by twerking… If it were not for God I would have punched him yesterday, he would be in ICU today. One punch after another, the spirit of God told me to be calm for mercy to be rested in peace.” Ndeke added.
He further promised to revenge when they meet at another function in future and Kasolo requests his microphone to be switched off.
