Kitui Senator Enock Kiio Wambua has accused some of the leaders in the Wiper party of using Kalonzo Musyoka’s name to ascend to power but after gaining positions start fighting him.
Speaking during an interview in a local TV station Wambua said despite that Kalonzo is always very careful and aware of such people praising him for their own gain.
“Kalonzo can differentiate any genuine leader and someone seeking to use him, I won’t mention their names because they are not important. You will see them hovering around the party leader whenever he is around to take pictures with him to prove their loyalty,” Kiio said.
“They sing Kalonzo’s name in his presence but contrary to the party’s wishes and don’t take any chance in sabotaging the party. While in Kajiado I listened to a certain rebellious leaders speaking in a church where Kalonzo had attended accompanied by other leaders and felt like standing and taking the mic from him because “he added.
Kiio exuded confidence that Kalonzo will be on the ballot in 2027 unless otherwise.
The Senator said that even if Kalonzo is not on the ballot he would not vote for President William Ruto.
“If I find the ballot paper with two contesters, William Ruto and Raila Odinga, I would vote for the latter with my eyes closed and I should not be asked why I’m closing my eyes,” he noted.
He however trashed claims that he is among advisors advising the Wiper leader stating that he only voices his thoughts to the Azimio Co-principal.
