Why Azimio picked Kalonzo to chair Bi-Partisan Talks

Kathiani MP Robert Mbui has disclosed why Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka will be chairing Bi-partisan talks between Kenya Kwanza and Azimio.

During an interview with Spice FM, Mbui said that the talks need someone with a sober mind who does not need to consult their Party leader on every issue under discussion.

He noted that Kalonzo being one of the Principals in Azimio One Kenya Coalition it is easier for him to execute the interests of his side, unlike Kenya Kwanza leaders who will have to consult their leaders before they agree to something.

“One of the problems we will face in the talks is that some leaders cannot make a decision without referring to their Party leader. One of the reasons why Kalonzo is part of the team is because he is a principal in the Azimio One Kenya coalition and he will not refer to anyone when it comes to decision-making,” said Mbui.

“The team in Kenya Kwanza will have to go to toilets to make calls, what they should agree is that they have one leader, one chair that is Kalonzo Musyoka it’s very easy to solve some of this problems because they are in agreement already,” he added.

The talks are set to start this week between Azimio One Kenya Alliance led by Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka and Kenya Kwanza led by Majority Leader Kimani Ichungwa.
