Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has been urged to decamp from Azimio la Umoja Coalition and join Kenya Kwanza Coalition citing his ‘mistreatment’.

Speaking during the burial of the daughter of UDA Chairman Johnson Muthama Janet Nthoki, UDA affiliated leaders said that Kalonzo Musyoka should decamp from the Azimio coalition because it was disrespecting the Kamba community.

This comes days after Kalonzo Musyoka failed to address mourners during the burial of Former President Mwai Kibaki despite being the vice president during Kibaki’s tenure.

Mwala MP Eng. Vincent Musyoka said that the gesture demonstrated during the burial of Mwai Kibaki to Kalonzo Musyoka was a clear indication that Raila and his team had no respect for Kalonzo and the more he stayed in Azimio la Umoja the more the community was being ridiculed.

“If they can deny Kalonzo Musyoka a chance to speak during the burial of Mwai Kibaki when he was the Vice President who helped Kibaki do developments they will never respect us as a Kamba nation. They gave an opportunity to Raila who disturbed Kibaki. Kalonzo should not be in Azimio because there is no position of the Kamba in Azimio. There is no respect there,” said Eng. Vincent.

“Even the position of Raila’s deputy we will not get. What are we then looking for? We have the position of the Chairman of the party that will rule – UDA. We will be there and we will form Government.” He added.

His words were echoed by Machakos Town MP Victor Munyaka who invited the Wiper Party leader to join DP William Ruto and Kenya Kwanza Coalition and not to apply for the position of a Running mate.

“Stop misusing Kalonzo Musyoka, how can you subject someone who was once a Vice President to interviews to apply as a running mate to Raila, Kalonzo don’t waste your time, come and join William Ruto in Kenya Kwanza,” said Munyaka.

The remarks were echoed by other leaders in attendance Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and MP Rigathi Gachagua who represented DP Ruto at the funeral.
