Kalonzo set to rejoin Azimio, address Joint Rally with Raila at Kwa Njenga

2 weeks after Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka announced that he was disengaging from Azimio, Kalonzo is set to announce his return today in a joint Rally at Kwa Njenga with the coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga.

According to sources at the wiper party, a major announcement will be made in the rally that will be at Vision grounds, Mukuru kwa Njenga which will also be attended by KANU party leader Gideon Moi and other leaders.

An invite has since been sent to Wiper leaders by the Organizing secretary Kathiani MP Robert Mbui asking them to confirm attendance and informing them a major announcement will be made.

A deal was reached between Kalonzo and Raila Odinga earlier in the week in a virtual meeting attended by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Kalonzo lost the bid to be the Transport and Infrastructure Cabinet Secretary as Wiper had proposed and he may be offered the Foreign Affairs ministry. The wiper party will also get the Energy, Health, Tourism, and Water ministries.

After the deal, Kalonzo is set to end his bid to be president after being cleared by the IEBC.

Leaders from the Wiper party will also be incorporated in Azimio campaigns after missing out in the initial list for Ukambani that was led by Makueni Governor Prof. Kibwana.
