Gospel songbird Peace Mulu is not new in the ears of many Kenyans. The gifted singer and preacher rose to fame in the early 2000s with her songs Ombea Adui yako, Ninayo sababu, Wakati wa kuomba among others.
For over 15 years she dominated the Kamba and Swahili music industry with her euphonious songs.
In early 2015 Mulu was involved in a grisly accident where she fractured her two legs. In 2016, the mother of one released her album Yesu Kwamua with songs like, Kuathimwa, Kwamua, Kethiwa ti yesu among others.
Since then Mulu has not released any song and during an interview at KTN 2 years ago, she disclosed that she has health issues that have forced her to pause music for a while.
She said the issues were arising from the accident she had but she was doing better.
“I fractured my two legs and was forced to stay indoors for years but now I’m okay,” she said.
She disclosed that as a veteran gospel artist she is not fond of social media but her songs can be found on YouTube.
In another interview a month ago she said that she is not rashy with releasing music.
“I have many songs that I can release on daily basis but I don’t like that lifestyle. It’s good to be calm and I believe everyone goes at their own speed. I have the audio it’s the videos that I haven’t released,” She revealed.
Peace Mulu further disclosed that as a minister she didn’t venture into singing for money or fame but to minister to the people.
