Wavinya’s Running Mate tells off Mutua for dancing in Ruto rallies as Machakos health crisis bites

Former Yatta MP and Wavinya Ndeti’s running mate Francis Mwangangi has called out on Machakos county government executive for what he terms as joking around with the lives of Machakos residents.

Speaking at a meet the people tour in Kangundo central ward, Mwangangi said that it was sad to see doctors, nurses, and clinical officers go on strike because of delays in payment and promotions for 10 years when Governor Mutua was seen busy doing campaigns all over rather than solving the health crisis in Machakos.

Mwangangi noted that Mutua’s executive had failed the residents and it is high time the electorate voted in leaders that would solve the menace in the health sector rather than leaders who have been there referring to DG Francis Maliti who is vying for Governor.

“The health crisis in Machakos county is wanting, now doctors, nurses, and clinical officers are on strike and the Governor is busy dancing in Mombasa rather than paying and giving them the promotions they deserve,” said Mwangangi.

“We need to elect leaders who have people’s interests at heart, not leaders that do not care about people. Elect Wavinya Ndeti and we will change Machakos, especially the ailing health sector. It is sad to see our people suffering because there are no drugs nor is there services being offered because the medical personnel is on a strike, it is sad,” he added.

On Monday 27th June, doctors, clinical officers, and nurses went on a strike citing that for over 10 years they had not been promoted by the county government, and efforts of talking to the Governor and Deputy governor did not bear any fruits.

Mwangangi was accompanied by Machakos Senator Agnes Kavindu, Mavoko MP Patrick Makau, Kathiani MP Robert Mbui among other wiper leaders.
