Benedict Mbalu the son of Jessica Mbalu, the MP for Kibwezi East, lost his life in a grisly road accident Sunday morning. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, marking a profound tragedy for the Mbalu family.
Fellow politicians have since shared their condolences with the Mbalu family among them is Joshua Kimilu of Kaiti.
“My sincere condolences to the Mbalu’s family and Kibwezi East people. May you find strength and God’s favor during this hard time”. Kimilu said.
Rose Museo the women rep for makueni expressed her condolences, stating, “I’m sorry to hear about the death of the son of Hon Jessica Mbalu, CBS, the Member of Parliament for Kibwezi East Constituency, through a grisly road accident this morning. It is a tragic loss for her family. Receive my heartfelt condolences. I also wish to extend my condolence to the people of Kibwezi East and the youth of Makueni County for the loss of this young promising soul. May God grant them strength and comfort during this difficult time.”
The accident, details of which are still scanty, occurred earlier yesterday, leaving the family in mourning.
A fundraiser will be held on Wednesday 17th January at the Public Service Club from 05.30 pm and a requiem mass on Thursday 18th January at St. John’s Catholic Church Karen.
