ODM Makueni Gubernatorial Candidate David Masika’s Wife, Priscilla Ndeve Wambua, died on Wednesday evening while receiving treatment at The Nairobi Hospital.
According to reports from the family, Priscilla died after a short illness which the family described as a big loss to them. The family, together with Team Masika, declared that they would halt their campaigns to have time to mourn their beloved Priscilla.
Jackline Koni, who is Masika’s running mate, giving her message of condolences to her boss, said that the late has been one of the chief campaigners of Masika and has been supporting them all through.
“Mama has been with us even as of last week we were with her; as Team Masika, we will pray to God to give us strength to continue asking Makueni residents to support us. We also give our condolences to the people of Makueni because they have walked with us all through and this is sad news to the Makueni fraternity,” she said.
Priscilla Ndeve Wambua led the campaigns of David Masika in 2017 when he was vying for the gubernatorial seat. The campaigns were popularly known as ‘Wanawake na Masika,’.
Priscilla has been actively involved in managing the businesses of Business Mogul David Masika, among them being Kusyombunguo hotels launched in the 2000s. Priscilla was the director of Kusyombunguo hotels in Wote, Lukenya, and Mombasa before her demise.
“We have lost a big supporter of Team Masika from 2017 and has been our greatest cheerleader and advisor in our campaign team,” Masika’s deputy added.
Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana led the Makueni people in mourning the late Priscilla Ndeve in a statement to newsrooms saying. “I have learned with a heavy heart the passing of Priscilla Ndeve Masika, spouse to Business mogul David Masika. The Masika’s have made an indelible contribution to Kenya in the education, entrepreneurship, and health sectors, where the late Priscilla was a key pillar. May the Lord grant you the fortitude to bear this loss. RIP Priscilla.”
