Tala ward MCA Jackson Ndaka has answered Kangundo M Fabian Muli after claiming some Wiper leaders are involved in the EAPCC land saga.
Speaking at Tala, Ndaka said there is a need for leaders to respect each other and be very cautious while addressing the Portland issue.
“I know that the Portland issue has raised a lot of temperatures but I would urge fellow leaders to address it with caution and respect. I heard my friend Fabian Muli comment on the issue but I would like to tell him that he was wrong,” said Ndaka.
The county lawmaker observed that even if the land belonged to the government the demolitions were contrary to the law because there was no eviction notice.
He noted that the government should have been subtle in handling those with buildings in the land giving them time to relocate because they are also voters.
“There should have been an eviction order and those living there should have been given notice to vacate instead of demolitions and destruction of property that is being witnessed.
Today demolitions entered day four as leaders from the Ukambani region continue to condemn the action. Kangundo MP Fabian Muli had accused Wiper leaders of being involved in the Portland scandal, remarks also echoed by Mwala MP Eng. Vincent Musyoka. Missed the story? check it out below;
