Senator Kiio accuses Ngilu of taking Ukambani to Kenya Kwanza

Kitui Senator Enoch Kiio Wambua has accused Former Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu of planning to take the Kamba community to Kenya Kwanza.

“It is a big shame that she is the one calling people from Machakos, Kitui, and Makueni to take them to Ruto, it’s a shame. We as a community promise to stand strong with you despite the few who want to betray you,” Kiio told Azimio leader Raila Odinga.

The vocal senator also blasted Ngilu for not attending the ongoing Azimio people’s Barazas across the country. Senator Kiio pointed out that when the Azimio-One Kenya team was campaigning they were together with Ngilu but when their victory was ‘stolen’ she is nowhere to be seen.

Speaking during the burial of Gabriel Wambua Mutua, brother to Azimio spokesperson Prof. Makau Mutua in Mutune, Kitui Central, Kiio said that Ngilu didn’t even bother to attend the burial which was on her home turf where Azimio leaders were in attendance.

“Our sister, the former Governor of Kitui walked with us during the campaigns but when our victory was ‘stolen’, it is a big shame that Baba you’re here and Charity Ngilu is not here,” Kiio added.

ODM leader Raila defended Charity Ngilu for not attending the burial stating that she had called him to apologize that she won’t attend.

“Charity called me saying that she has been unwell and that’s why she could not attend the burial of the brother to our Azimio spokesperson. She registered her condolences to prof. Makau Mutua that she won’t attend,” Raila said.

Kiio affirmed that the Wiper party firmly resolved to rally behind the Azimio One Kenya coalition in order to ensure that Raila gets to the statehouse because he ‘won’ the 2022 general election.

Former Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga was accompanied by Martha Karua and Eugene Wamalwa, Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua, Kitui Deputy Governor Augustine Kanani, Kitui Speaker Kevin Kinengo Katisya, Boniface Katumbi Kyangwithya East MCA, and other leaders from the region.
