Police Arrest Robbery Suspects, Recover Firearm and Stolen Goods

Detectives have successfully arrested three notorious robbery suspects and seized a firearm, along with a cache of suspected stolen items.

The operation, a result of extensive investigation linking multiple robbery incidents, targeted locations in Kilimani and Athi River.

According to the DCI through a post on their Facebook page, The lead suspect, identified as 39-year-old Julius Osoro Nyagoi, was captured in a swift operation conducted jointly by detectives from DCI headquarters, Starehe, and Athi River.

“Following interrogation, Nyagoi disclosed vital information that led investigators to a residence in Green Park Estate, Athi River, where his accomplices John Michael Muturi and Charity Njeri Kimani were arrested.” The DCI in the post said.

During a thorough search conducted at their hideout a loaded Czeska pistol, two pairs of motor vehicle number plates, assorted motor vehicle parts, numerous electronic devices including mobile phones and laptops, as well as various personal documents such as logbooks, wristwatches, and ATM cards were recovered.

The suspects, along with the recovered items, were swiftly transported to Pangani Police Station for processing and are slated for arraignment on Thursday, April 11, 2024.
