Former Statehouse Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita has disclosed plans to unseat Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti come 2027.
Speaking at the burial of Peter Kilukumi Musau father to renown Senior Counsel Kioko Kilukumi in Mwala, Waita thanked the people for supporting him in 2022 vowing to contest again in 2027.
“Mbaitu Mwi aseo, uu nula Mwana wenyu utesi kikamba. Nimuvea nundu nimwanengie kula mbingi muno, ni Asante. Umunthi ti siasa, ninguka ingi ivinda ya siasa kuomba kura. Kwina wia wakwa vaa Masaku?” Nzioka said.
Translation –(I hope you are all well, this is your son who is not fluent in Kikamba, Thank you for giving me many votes, Today we are not doing politics but i will come back again, is there work for me in Machakos?)
The former CCU Party Leader also called on Kamba leaders to unite so as to chart the way forward for the community.
“Dr. Alfred Mutua is leading us in government and we are also in opposition. Our leaders when you get a chance, let’s talk and see how to direct our people.” He added.
Other leaders who attended the burial include Labor CS Dr. Alfred Mutua, Narok Governor Ole Ntutu, Former Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana, Mwala MP Eng. Vincent Musyoka, and Ex CS Keriako Tobiko among other leaders.
