Ex-Statehouse Chief of staff Nzioka Waita has spoken after claims that he is set to deputize Raphael Tuju who is rumored to be the Jubilee candidate for Nairobi Governor.

This follows the revelation by a local television that Tuju may be announcing his Gubernatorial bid this week and Waita is set to be the Deputy Governor as proposed by Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka during Azimio-OKA negotiations.

Taking to social media, Nzioka denied the claims and said his opponents in the Machakos Gubernatorial race were afraid of his rising popularity going by the recent polls.

“It appears that my opponents are in full panic mode ..having seen the latest Machakos Gubernatorial race polls for themselves and how their candidate’s lead has been decimated by a first-timer in 5 of 8 sub-counties to a single-digit margin,” Waita said in a Tweet.

CCU Secretary General Philippe Sadjah in response said, ” Wiper Party and Kalonzo Musyoka wanataka kutupanga sasa? Chama cha Uzalendo is an independent Party!!!! We are not in OKA…. Don’t ever forget it.”
