Statehouse chief of staff Nzioka Waita has admitted he is under pressure to quit the Machakos Gubernatorial race. Speaking at ABC Kyaani Church in Machakos Town Constituency, Nzioka also announced his support for Raila Odinga and Azimio La Umoja.

“A lot of people have given me pressure saying they don’t want me to vie and there are senior politicians in Ukambani saying I should give the chance to MPs or other politicians. I want to say clearly that we are going to get this seat. We will not accept to be threatened.” Nzioka said.

“I want to say clearly that we will support Raila Odinga. No need to keep you waiting. You should know that Azimio La Umoja is the direction Kenya is taking.”He added.

Nzioka who is set to resign from his State House Chief of Staff position to run for Machakos Gubernatorial Seat pointed out that he will thereafter begin his listening tours across the county to hear from the people on what they want to be done.

“Let the youth support me. I am calling on every person from Machakos to stand with me. As youth, you should know that you have the right person on your hands, don’t let him go. The right person is me, Nzioka Waita.” He went on.

“My Machakos people. Stay standby. Nzioka Waita is coming. I will tour every corner of Machakos and be sure, we will win this battle.” He added.
