Labor and Social Protection Cabinet Secretary Dr. Alfred Mutua has spoken on why President William Ruto has not been able to implement any project in the Ukambani region.
In a recent interview, Mutua blamed the second Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for allegedly blocking development to Ukambani.
“There is no single project, you know why? All projects were blocked by the person we impeached (Number 2). He was calling PSs and telling them to remove Ukambani projects they didn’t vote for us.”Mutua claimed.
The CS also took a Swipe at Ukambani leaders siding with Gachagua saying that would contribute further to the lack of development In the region.
“That person who has been blocking development some of our leaders are still asking us to follow him. We are not that stupid. We follow him so we don’t get development?” Mutua went on.
The labor and social protection CS was the most vocal CS who publicly backed Gachagua’s impeachment. The impeachment motion was tabled by Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse of Maendeleo Chap chap.
