Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Dr. Alfred Mutua has rebuked several leaders criticizing Governor Wavinya’s administration.
Speaking during the burial of Mumbuni North MCA Gideon Saul Kavuu at Mungala Secondary, Mutua reprimanded Machakos Town MP Caleb Mule who had asked Wavinya to give locals opportunities first before outsiders.
“Wavinya is the Governor of Machakos County, duly elected. Let Wavinya do her work, she is not a fool she knows what she wants to do. I’ve seen a few MCAs insulting her, those who insulted me during my tenure were never reelected. I’ve seen some here. If you joke with the Governor people are seeing and they won’t reelect you.” Mutua said.
“While there is a need for checks as President Ruto says, do this in the County Assembly not in funerals. Even my MP Caleb of Maendeleo Chap Chap if you have an issue with Wavinya stop talking here and call her. I’m sure you will talk well and you will agree. If we support her she will succeed.” The CS Added.
Responding to Caleb’s accusations Wavinya extended an olive branch and said if Caleb had any issue he should visit her they resolve the issue.
