Munyaka cautions Machakos leaders, reveals 2027 plans

Former Machakos Town MP Victor Munyaka has reminded Machakos elected leaders that power is transient asking them to stop fighting.

Speaking at the burial of James Ndunda father to Machakos Transport and Infrastructure CECM Rita Ndunge, Munyaka thanked the people for electing him and asked the current Machakos town MP to stop meddling in County affairs.

“I was in office for 15 years, the child that was in class one then, I left when they are in third year. I realized that power is temporary. The leaders here please beware of that. You people said I was so good, I did a lot but you wanted a change. But that change came with an ‘unga tsunami’. ” Munyaka said.

Munyaka told mourners that he was now doing serious maize and avocado farming. He challenged the county leadership to work together calling out the current MP Caleb Mule for questioning the work of the County Government.

“As leaders, work together because God chooses leaders. I want to advise you as a veteran who has left impact in the office they held. Stop fighting, Wavinya your agenda is good. Caleb, the work I have left in Machakos is a lot, you should focus and stop questioning the Governor. ” He added.

Munyaka said after the CAS position was declared unconstitutional he was focusing on farming and would be back on the political scene in 2027 saying he has the capacity to vie as either Governor, Senator, or MP.

Other leaders at the function included Governor Wavinya, Deputy Governor Mwangangi, Majority leader Wangondi, Deputy Speaker, Several MCAs, and county officials.
