Caring Hearts High School in Matungulu topped the sub-county in the just released 2023 KCSE Results. The school held a function to celebrate the students.
The school attained a mean score of 8.4 and a 92 percent university transition. As an encouragement, the school offered 48 students with cheques worth 10,000, laptops, and phones among other prizes.
Mary Nzisa the school principal attributed the great performance to discipline and dedication by stakeholders.
She narrated that the awarding motivates those yet to sit for the exam to put more effort into their studies.
“This year we are targeting a mean mark of 11.5, we will work extra hard to ensure there is the maximum outcome. Our good performance does not come easy, there is sacrifice discipline, and dedication involved,” said Nzisa.
Benard Kivuva, a director at the school recounted how students from needy backgrounds have been doing well in exams and securing their future.
He noted that most students in the school are sponsored by the organization in a bid to change their story and impact the community.
“In the future, the school will be able to sponsor more students because there are students who are paying fees. The reason why we are also enrolling fee-paying students is to ensure sustainability in the future, “Kivuva said.
