It was pomp and color in Matungulu and Kangundo sub-counties in Machakos county after the release of 2023 KCSE results by Education CS Ezekiel Machogu.
Many schools performed exemplary sending the candidates, teachers and parents into a celebratory mood.
Matungulu Girls High School had a mean score of 8.15 with a university entry of 216 out of 253 students. Two top students had a mean score of A placing the school among the best schools in the sub-county.
Caring Hearts Girls High School in the same sub-county too performed well with a mean of 8.4 and two top students getting A-.
Tala High School has also expressed interest in chilling with the big girls by managing a mean score of 6.6 an exemplary result compared to last year.
The principal Wambua Muasya said the school will be a force to reckon with as it tries to reclaim lost glory.
“The journey has begun in a slow but sure way, we will be the school to watch in a few years, “Principal Wambua said.
In Katwanyaa High School 49 students will be joining university after attaining C+ as five top students scored a means score of B+ according to the provisional results.
Daniel Muange, the school principal, said that the school has high hopes that this year’s candidates will do even better than last year’s.
“The plans we put in place are working and great results will be seen that’s a promise,” he assured.
Other schools that did well include Tala Girls High School, Kinyui Girls High School, Kalandini Secondary School, and Tala Satellite High School.
