MP Kawaya mourns Matungulu MP aspirant Dr. Philip Munyao

Mwala MP Eng. Vincent Musau ‘Kawaya’ has condoled the family of Dr. Philip Munyao who died in hospital after a grisly road accident.

Musau who spoke to Mauvoo News on phone said that Munyao famously known as Munyambu was responding well to the treatment and was to be discharged today.

Musau who doubles up as the UDA national organizing secretary said that the doctors had assured them that he had not suffered major injuries but was still in a state of shock and could not speak.

“In the time I knew Philip he was energetic and resourceful. When we received news of him being involved in an accident I went to see him in the hospital and he was in good shape, The doctor told us that he was not in any form of danger according to all the tests taken.” Kawaya disclosed.

” We had been assured he will be discharged by today. The only issue he had was shock which affected his speech. He could also not identify some people but I’m glad he could identify me,” he added.

The lawmaker said that they were waiting for the autopsy to know what caused the death of the man.

His body has been moved to the Chiromo mortuary awaiting post-mortem and burial arrangements.

Munyambu had joined UDA party a few months ago in readiness to contest for the Matungulu parliamentary seat in 2027. In the last elections, he came in second after Stephen Mule.
