Sports journalist and entrepreneur Patrick Muthauki is making waves in Kenya’s sports media landscape, emerging as a dynamic and influential voice.
Born in May 1997 in Mwala Sub-County, Machakos, Muthauki has carved out a name for himself in the Eastern region’s media industry, blending technical expertise with compelling storytelling.
His passion for sports commentary and football dates back to his primary school days: ” Primary school is when I started football commentary and playing soccer,” Muthauki, in an exclusive interview with Mauvoo News, mentioned.
This love he nurtured further at Mbaikini Boys High School. Inspired by his all-time mentor, Royal Media Services, Torome Tirike, Muthauki turned his passion into a career, establishing himself as a key figure in sports journalism.
The Jordan College of Technology graduate serves as the TV producer and presenter at Kamba TV while also co-hosting a sports show called Mathau Ukamba at Kwitu FM alongside Daniel Nzomo, a show that highlights key issues affecting the Kamba community, while at the same time running a sports merchandise shop.
As part of Kamba TV, Muthauki plays a crucial role in managing technical operations while engaging audiences on-screen. His engaging style, deep knowledge of sports, social issues, and ability to juggle these responsibilities have earned him recognition among media professionals and viewers alike.

Beyond television, Muthauki, a proud supporter of Manchester United, is passionate about promoting local sports. He actively updates his fans on social media and on-air about the latest trends, signings, transfers, table standings, and happenings in local, national, and international sports, showcasing his dedication to grassroots sports. His coverage provides a platform for young athletes, shining a spotlight on emerging talent.
“We got so many talents in high school that need to be nurtured fully,” Muthauki noted.
His influence extends to digital platforms, where he shares cultural and entertainment content. His TikTok videos, celebrating Kamba culture and showcasing vibrant events, such as a wedding he attended with DJ Biado, have gained significant traction.
Through platforms like TikTok and Facebook, he engages with fans by sharing insights into Kamba traditions, music, sports, and lifestyle. Viral posts under the hashtags #MuthaukiKiwanzani and #Kambanation have further solidified his status as a digital content creator.
Despite maintaining a low-profile personal life, Muthauki’s growing influence in media, both on television and online, has made him a name to watch. His ability to connect with audiences through culture, sports, and entertainment sets him apart as a media personality dedicated to uplifting his community.
As he continues to expand his reach, Patrick Muthauki is poised to leave a lasting impact on Kenya’s sports broadcasting scene.
