Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jnr’s MKJ Supa Cup ended on Sunday at Unoa grounds in Wote with Makueni and Kibwezi West Sub-counties as the distinguished champions of this thrilling sporting event.
Makueni showcased exceptional prowess, securing victory in both Men’s after a 2-0 victory over Kibwezi East making them the champions and Women’s football, Women’s 5 on-5 Basketball, and Men’s Beach Handball. Meanwhile, Kibwezi West clinched triumph in Men’s 5 on 5 Basketball, as well as in the 3 on 3 Basketball for both Men and Women.
The winners of these intense competitions have earned the opportunity to represent Makueni County at the forthcoming Kenya Inter-county Sports Association (KYISA) Games, scheduled to take place in Kilifi from April 14th to 21st, 2024.
The MKJ Supa cup not only highlighted exceptional talent within Makueni and Kibwezi West but also demonstrated the commitment of these regions to fostering sportsmanship and competitive spirit among their communities.
