On the basketball court, Mbooni Boys emerged victorious over Matiliku with an impressive 71-43 win in the boys’ category. Clay International claimed the title in the girls’ division by defeating Makueni with a glamorous 53-40 win. The skills and teamwork displayed by these teams secured their positions as county representatives in the forthcoming regional competitions.
The handball competitions were intense with Mbooni Boys dominating the boys’ category by defeating Matiliku Boys 26-12. In the girls’ division, Munyuni Secondary School emerged triumphant with a walkover win against Nduluni Girls, with a score of 22-13. These teams exhibited remarkable agility and strategy, earning them the opportunity to compete at the regional level.
In the fast-paced world of hockey, Kitondo School showcased its dominance over Makueni with a narrow 1-0 win in the boys’ category. St. Joseph’s Kibwezi displayed skill to clinch victory in the girls’ division with a commanding 4-0 win over AIC Nunguni. These talented athletes will carry the hopes of Makueni County as they advance to the regional stage.
The rugby 15s was ablaze as Kitondo School emerged victorious, demonstrating their skills with a 32-03 win over Kasikeu Boys.
Their impressive performance has secured them a coveted spot in the regional showdown scheduled for March 18th, 2024, at Machakos School.
