MCA assures Mlolongo youths games won’t be interrupted

Mlolongo Youths have been stranded due to the lack of a playing field after the one they were depending on was fenced.

Area MCA Daniel Ndwiki has come out to assure them that their games will go on as planned despite the setback.

Speaking exclusively to Mauvoo News, Ndwiki said that the government is putting in place funds to acquire a large field where the youths can play their games.

He said for the time being the youths could use the field in Sabaki and Mlolongo phase three for their games.

Ndwiki spoke after youths were left worried after the field they had been playing on at Mlolongo was fenced by the owner who was fearing it would be grabbed.

The MCA said the County Government was still engaging the owner to see if he would sell the piece of land so that the youths can continue playing there.

“I would urge the youths to be busy and not worry because plans are in place. For the time being, they can use the field at Sabaki, it’s not that far also the one at Mlolongo primary during weekends and the other one at phase three,” Ndwiki said.

He warned locals against politicizing issues in the area as that would only make matters worse.

“The issue has reached me and I can say without fear that the issue of the field is being politicized. We are working on it and our youths should be patient,” he added.
