2 die in Mlolongo as disagreement over ‘Kamari’ game turns ugly

Two men lost their lives after a game they were playing turned ugly in Mlolongo, Mavoko sub-county of Machakos county.

The two men who were not identified immediately were playing ‘Kamari’ and disagreed on who had won.

A heated disagreement ensued between them where one took a knife and stabbed the other in a fit of rage.

Mlolongo Assistant County Commissioner Dennis Ongaga confirmed the shocking incident stating that the man who got stabbed died on the spot.

Thereafter, irate locals who witnessed the incident descended on the man with blows and kicks until he kicked the bucket.

The incident was reported to the Mlolongo police station and police officers arrived at the scene to take the two bodies to Shalom Hospital mortuary as investigations commence.

“It was around 4:30 pm on Sunday and the two were playing Kamari famous game of tossing a coin and predicting the outcome. They disagreed on who had won and their fight escalated to the deaths in no time,” said Ongaga.

Onganga warned that the Kamari game is outlawed and anyone found engaging in the game will face the full force of the law.
