Kalonzo: Where I hid to avoid arrest during Azimio demos

Wiper leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has revealed that he hid himself during the Azimio Demos to avoid being arrested.

Speaking while attending a church service at AIC Kasina in Mlolongo, the Azimio One Kenya Alliance Principal said that he went to hide at Mua Hills because he feared that they would come to his residence and arrest him.

“During the second demo, I looked at the scenario and saw if I sleep at my house I will be forced to be locked inside my house restricting me from going to meet with the other leaders for the demos. So I decided that I will hide myself, I came from my house passed here in Mlolongo, and went to Mua Hills to hide there,” Kalonzo said.

Kalonzo went on to reveal even after hiding when police placed a roadblock in Athi River he was helped by a pastor to access the demos.

“There was a roadblock at Athi River I know you remember that and one Pastor friend of mine carried me from Mua Hills and when we were along the highway I wore a cap so no one would notice me but I loved it, “Kalonzo narrated.

“I was residing at Machakos Health CEC Daniel Yumbya’s home in Mua Hills during Round one because we almost perished after they hit our car so this second time I was clever enough and when Anthony drove me from Mlolongo we went all the way to Kangemi to join the others,” he added.

Kalonzo was accompanied by Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti, Machakos Senator Agnes Kavindu, and other leaders from Machakos County during the service.
