Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s ride to Statehouse may not be smooth if he keeps on following Raila blindly, Mlolongo MCA Daniel Ndwiki has claimed.
Ndwiki said that the Kamba community together with Kalonzo should not follow ODM leader Raila Odinga not knowing what is in store for them.
According to him Raila should come out and pledge to support Kalonzo’s 2027 bid.
If this is done then the community will be content to follow Raila and accept any resolution by the Azimio coalition.
“As the Kamba community, we won’t be benched while we have our leader Kalonzo Musyoka. We are requesting Raila when he comes to Machakos to declare his support for Kalonzo because we don’t want cat and rat games,” Ndwiki said.
He warned Kalonzo that Raila is not on the path to the presidency and he should have solid plans that will ensure he is on the ballot in the next General election.
“The demos and rallies are just attempts to keep the government of the day in check but not an assurance to the statehouse. We need to sit and make plans on how our son will get the seat in 2027,” said the MCA.
The lawmaker gave an example of how Kalonzo was humiliated by being forced to go for interviews to be Raila’s deputy in the last general elections thus destabilizing his bid.
