Transport CAS Wavinya Ndeti has called for peaceful campaigns devoid of insults and violence not only in Machakos but also Nationally.

At Mlolongo when her convoy was approaching Cooperative, rowdy youths shouting Patrick Makau’s name attempted to disrupt the rally. A similar situation was also witnessed at Kyumvi junction as her convoy passed there.

“I am worried by some people who are practicing immature politics. Let’s observe peace and maturity during this political season.” Wavinya said.

She added that it’s not right for people to disrupt public meetings and rallies, asking Machakos people to stay alert and reject such people.

“I have never and I will never insult anyone at any given point. Let’s keep calm and give others room to sell their manifestos.”She added.

Wavinya further asked the electorate to vote in leaders wisely, saying that if the electorate votes in bad leaders, it’s them who will in return suffer asking them to consider her as their Governor in August.”How can you vote for someone who you really know and you’re aware that he or she will fail you? Let’s choose leaders wisely.”

Being a Voter Sensitization and Mobilization Tour, she encouraged Machakos people to come out in large numbers and practice their democratic right of voting.

” Bad leaders are chosen by good people who don’t vote. The second phase of Voter Registration is here with us now. Let’s take advantage of this phase and register in large numbers. We need to make a change this year.”She pleaded.

Wavinya Ndeti is among leaders who have expressed interest in the Machakos Gubernatorial seat. Other aspirants include; Johnson Muthama of UDA, Nzioka Waita, Florence Mwangangi, Eng. Francis Maliti among others.
