Matungulu MP slams Ruto for engaging in 2027 politics

Matungulu Member of Parliament Stephen Mule has castigated President William Ruto for engaging in 2027 politics.

While speaking at a burial ceremony in Mbuni within the Matungulu constituency, Mule noted that it was uncouth for the head of state to talk about 2027 politics just a year after the general elections.

The legislator said that Kenyans are burdened by the high cost of living as some homes cannot afford three meals a day.

According to him, the president should be looking for solutions on how to stabilize the economy and save Kenyans from the high cost of living but he is busy politicking.

The legislator also questioned how the national government was using the taxes it was collecting since Kenyans are burdened by taxes whose work is not seen.

“Just the other day the president was heard speaking in Kisumu stating that in 2027 he will be competing against Kalonzo and will beat him hands down. Life is hard because the government of the day is only adding taxes and we cannot show where the taxes are going,” said Mule.

Mule expressed confidence that in 2027 the odds are against Ruto and Kalonzo will carry the day.

He urged the church to pray for leaders from the region who are seeking to ensure Kalonzo wins in the next general elections.
