Sleuths from Migwani in Mwingi West sub-county, Kitui County have commenced investigations into the death of a 36-year-old man found killed on Friday morning.
The man’s body was discovered in Mikululo and had stab wounds. Mikululo chief Simeon Kavive confirmed the incident stating that the perpetrators were still at large.
He disclosed that he received reports about the incident in the morning and found the body dumped near a bar in the market.
“I received a call in the morning at around 6 am and was told that a body was lying near ‘Undu ti Umwe’ club and I rushed to the scene. The man had bled a lot and had four stab wounds on his left side near his heart,” Chief Simeon said.
The chief noted that the owner of the club was arrested and the body was removed from the scene and taken to the mortuary.
He urged members of the public to provide information to the police that may lead to the arrest of the people who committed the inhuman act.
“Police have commenced investigations into the incident and the body moved from the scene, those who did this will be arrested and prosecuted,” he noted.
