Makueni County Assembly speaker Douglas Mbilu has been arrested by police.
Mbilu was arrested and taken to an unknown location after he presented himself at Wote police station.
Mbilu had been allegedly hiding since last week and the police have been looking for him as he is being associated with the destructive demonstrations witnessed in the County in the last two weeks.
His arrest was confirmed by Makueni sub-county commander Winfred Siele who did not divulge more information concerning the arrest.
His arrest comes days after Kilili/Kalamba MCA Francis Mutuku alias Muso was also arrested at his home.
Muso was presented at Kilungu law courts and was charged with alleged involvement in the anti-government demos where he and 41 others were released on bond.
In Makueni county since the demos began two people have lost their lives while scores left nursing serious injuries.
