Katangi Ward MCA arrested during Azimio demos, driven to unknown location

Katangi Ward MCA Felix Ngui has been arrested while attending Azimio demos in Nairobi CBD.

Taking to his Facebook, Ngui said that he had been arrested and was taken to Central police station and now was being moved to an unknown location.

“It is true I have been arrested, taken to Central police station, and now being driven away to an unknown direction,” Ngui said on Facebook.

Azimio had called for demos to protest what they termed as electoral injustice, high cost of living, and taxes. The coalition called for a reinstatement of Cherera 4 and the opening of IEBC Servers among other grievances.

Most businesses in Nairobi have closed down due to the demonstrations.

Azimio-One Kenya Alliance leader Raila Odinga added that every Monday the coalition shall hold demonstrations until the issues are addressed.
