Kitui Ex-Police officer asks for help after younger brother snatched his wife, claims life in danger

A 58-year-old man from Nzunguni village, Kitui central sub-county, Kitui county is asking for help claiming his younger brother wants to kill him and has taken his wife.

The ex-police officer told journalists that the younger brother already snatched his wife and even changed the names of his kids.

The man identified as Joel Mulinge narrated that from time to time he has been attacked by the brother forcing him to rent a house at Katyethoka market. On coming back he found out that the brother sold a portion of their ancestral land.

That’s not all the brother continued to threaten him and now he fears for his life.

“I was a police officer and I’m 58 years old. While I was based in Nairobi my brother who lived in Mombasa came and snatched my wife and they even changed my name from my kids’ certificates,” Mulinge narrated.

“Since then they have been planning on killing me. I recently learned that they have sold a portion of land in Muvati and the land at home they hid the title deeds,” he added.

“They have chased me from home countless times and when I came back they attacked me and injured my head and throat. I have cultivated my farms but I can’t harvest anything because it was all destroyed,” The ex-police officer cried for justice.

Mulinge noted that on questioning about his crops the brother attacked him with a panga.

He now doesn’t have anywhere to go and fears going back home. He called for action to be taken against the brother.
