Kibwana apologises to Kalonzo

Former Makueni Governor Prof. Kivutha Kibwana apologized to Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and promised not to attack him again.

The two leaders met in Matuu, Yatta sub-county of Machakos county while attending the funeral of former Member of Parliament Gideon Mutiso.

Kibwana took the chance to ask for forgiveness from the Azimio coalition principal and promised to hold his fire.

The ex-Governor also asked Kalonzo to ask his troops to stand down and desist from attacking him.

“Stephen we have worked together, I have helped you and you have helped me. I have been throwing jabs at you but today I will stop in the spirit of forgiveness as Father has preached,” said Kibwana.

The former county boss also said he hopes Orange Democratic Movement leader Raila Odinga will endorse a candidate from Ukambani in the next general elections.

“I am a person who keeps his word and be sure you won’t hear anything from me but also warn your people not to throw hot charcoal on me,” he added.

While eulogizing the former MP, Kibwana said Mutiso was a man who fought for others and had a stand.

Other leaders at the burial included ODM leader Raila Odinga, Yatta MP Robert Basil, and Machakos Deputy Governor Francis Mwangangi among other leaders.

Last month, Kibwana attacked Kalonzo and accused him of using Witchcraft to protect his Yatta home.
