Raila speaks on what he saw in Shakahola during his three-hour visit

Azimio leader Raila Odinga has spoken about his three-hour visit to Shakahola in Kilifi county last week.

Speaking at a burial in Matuu, Machakos county Raila said that together with three lawmakers from the county, they had gone to Shakahola on a fact-finding mission.

On reaching Shakahola, they were not allowed to enter the area as they were told it was cordoned off for the purpose of investigations.

After insisting for three hours they were not allowed and had to go back.

He claimed that it was clear the government was hiding something concerning the Shakahola mass graves and the whole fiasco about cults in the country.

“We saw pictures of the mastermind of Shakahola, Mackenzie who is a Kamba together with people in the government who have been praying and cursing me and Kalonzo. I want to tell you that the government is hiding something from its people,” said Raila.

The veteran politician added that Kenyans should not be kept in darkness concerning the investigations.

He noted that the decision to keep off the media from the scene was very suspicious.

“Kenyans should know what is happening not telling us you are doing investigations yet there are corpses and a suspect,” he added.

Raila had accompanied Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka to the funeral of former Yatta MP Gideon Mutiso.

Mutiso died two weeks ago while receiving treatment at a Nairobi hospital.
