Kathiani MP Robert Mbui has spoken about his gubernatorial ambitions.
Speaking in Kathiani, Mbui noted that he has aspirations of becoming Machakos Governor one day but for now, he is doing his work as a lawmaker.
The legislator stated that in 2027 he won’t be vying for the Governor’s seat but failed to divulge more information.
The third time MP noted that a lot of people have endorsed his bid for 2027 polls and he appreciates the efforts and concern but for the time being he is not interested.
“For the time being I will be doing my job as for the future aspirations God will handle them. I have to fight for my people and ensure they are okay, I can say that not in the next general elections, maybe later,” Mbui said in a chuckle.
The Wiper organizing secretary said that the endorsements he is currently receiving may pit him against politicians eyeing the seat.
