Controversial Kamba Gospel artist Stephen Kasolo has conceded defeat after losing the Mulango ward MCA seat.

The Kitole hitmaker was contesting for the MCA seat on a Chama Cha Uzalendo Party ticket.

Through a message on his social media, Kasolo said that he was appreciative of his supporters for the immense love and support they had accorded him given that it was his first time to vie for the seat.

“Allow me to please pass my Special appreciation to all Voters, Fans, Friends, supporters, and those who offered their financial support as well as spiritual support,” he said.

“We ran the race from day one up to the Last day and out of 13 candidates, we emerged number 2 with a small margin to the number 1. May you all feel appreciated, however, God is on our side and a bright future in politics is my take on triumph. May the Lord Bless you all,” he added.

Peter Mwanza Kitonyo who was an Independent Candidate won the seat with 2,282 votes followed closely by Stephen Mutua Kasolo with 1,571 votes and the third candidate was Josphat Nzamba who vied on a Jubilee ticket with 1,269 votes.
