Kathiani MP Robert Mbui has downplayed President William Ruto’s confidence in winning the presidency in 2027 against Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
Speaking on Monday, Mbui expressed confidence that Kalonzo will floor Ruto If the two will run against each other.
“President Ruto one of the qualities of a president should be uniting the Kenyans which you have failed at. Kalonzo is our son and brother and you should not look down upon him because the prayers we have done will be effective. He will floor you effortlessly in 2017,” said Mbui.
The lawmaker called for respect among leaders in the region stating that lack of respect among leaders from Ukambani is the main cause for the disrespect shown to the Kamba community by other communities.
“We will finish the fights being witnessed in the region among our leaders. It’s time we do away with in-house fights if at all we want to gain respect from other regions. Ukambani is large and with many voters just like many other big regions but fights have caused us to be seen as divided,”Mbui went on.
