Music Copyright Society of Kenya (MCSK) CEO Dr. Ezekiel Mutua was excited to show off his first earnings from TikTok.
Taking to his Facebook page on Tuesday evening, Mutua mentioned his earnings were out of clean content.
“At exactly 10:20 pm today I made my first withdrawal from TikTok through my PayPal account. The journey towards sanitizing tiktok through clean content has begun in earnest.“ He said.
” I hope to serve as an example that content doesn’t have to be dirty to sell,” Mutua added.
Mutua even went ahead to express his desire to make much more money through Tiktok platform.
This comes barely a week after he held a meeting with controversial preacher Victor Kanyari over his conduct on the platform in the past few weeks.
Mutua criticized his behavior, saying he was setting a bad example for the young people on TikTok and his followers since he has a church.
“Pastor Kanyari has disgraced the church. The unfortunate incidents of inappropriate conduct online in the last few weeks must be condemned. If Pastors were to continue with this drama for clout chasing there’s no telling how far this can go.” Mutua noted.
The MCSK CEO recently met the controversial preacher and discussed how he can influence positively through the Tiktok platform.
Mutua explained that he would use Kanyari’s experience to mentor Kenyan youths who use TikTok for inappropriate content.
“Kanyari did well to join TikTok because, though with unfortunate consequences, we are now having a conversation to restore the youths on these platforms. These are our children, and we cannot ride on high moral horses to condemn and shun them,” The CEO stated.
