Kamba gospel artist Fortune Mwikali has opened up about one of the most difficult moments in her life losing her father.
In a heartfelt post on Facebook, Fortune shared that the experience left her deeply hurt, especially after being accused of causing her father’s death while she was pregnant at the time.
She said the false accusations took a toll on her emotionally, but she has since found peace and chosen to forgive those who spread the hurtful claims.
“Kiła ivinda ukisikia kugive up inengai vinya nakwa. Vai Mundu weesila maundu momu takwa, I remember when my dad died, people said I was the one who killed him,” she wrote.
Fortune went on to express her pain in an emotional message to her late father, saying his spirit knows the truth.
“Babaa, wherever you are, may your spirit never rest. Those who killed you, you know them. Do what you must. As for those who accused me and said hurtful things, I have forgiven you all. God will be my judge. It’s wrong to mock someone over death.”
Her message has touched many fans, who praised her strength and forgiveness despite the painful experience.
