In a rare glimpse into his private life, Wiper leader and Azimio co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka opened up about his wife, Pauline Kalonzo, offering a heartfelt update on her health.
In a recent interview, Kalonzo revealed how Pauline, who has been quietly battling illness for years, is now in a stable condition.
The veteran politician expressed gratitude for her improved health, acknowledging the strength of their family’s faith.
“She is stable; we are grateful to God,” he shared, his words capturing a blend of relief and deep appreciation.
Kalonzo’s story with Pauline is a testament to resilience and love, stretching back decades. Reflecting on their journey together, Kalonzo disclosed that before he met Pauline, he faced multiple rejections in his quest for love.
But fate had something special in store. When he first crossed paths with Pauline, they both embarked on separate but equally ambitious journeys; Pauline to India for her master’s degree and Kalonzo to Cyprus on a scholarship.
Their long-distance relationship, filled with hopes and uncertainties, eventually blossomed into something enduring.
“She was initially reluctant to marry me and went to India for her master’s,” Kalonzo recounted with a chuckle.
“But just as she was taking off, I also secured a scholarship and was off to Cyprus. When I returned to Kenya, I began working for Manu Chandaria, and not long after, Pauline returned, and we got married.” He disclosed.
Kalonzo shared that Pauline had been a pillar of support since the beginning of his political career. Her trust in his leadership was evident when she registered as a voter in Kitui North (now Mwingi North) even before they tied the knot.
This commitment underscored her unwavering faith in his vision for leadership, even before their marriage officially began.
