Young Wiper democrats from Kangundo Subcounty have drummed up support for the Azimio la Umoja OKA coalition and its newly launched manifesto.
Speaking while addressing the press in Kangundo Subcounty, the Wiper Democrats led by their Secretary General Dominic Mutua said that the manifesto by Azimio reflected well on the youth agenda, thanking Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka for rejoining Azimio.
“I Want to take this opportunity to thank our kamba kingpin Kalonzo for joining Azimio. In the manifesto launch, the community was well represented and as youths we are behind Azimio la Umoja because there is hope for us,” Mutua said.
On matters Kangundo Politics, the democrats applauded the move by two MCA Aspirants of putting on hold their political aspirations to support Moses Mitaa as the Kangundo central MCA Aspirant saying that kind of unity amongst leaders was going to bring a lot of development in the areas and benefit the youths more.
They called on the National Government and ukambani leaders to show such support amongst themselves and drum up support for Kalonzo Musyoka and Raila Odinga.
“Seeing Muthusi and Sylvester supporting Mitaa to vie for Kangundo Central ward is a good indication that the youth can work together in harmony, Mitaa Has worked and he needs time to finish up all the projects he has in place,” they said.
“These two leaders have shown us what unity is and this is want we need in the National political arena. Leaders from ukambani should unite and support Raila and Kalonzo just as these two have done,” they added.
Two MCAs from Kangundo who were vying for Kangundo Central Ward seat dropped their bid to vie and support Kangundo Central MCA Moses Mitaa who is seeking a re-election on a Wiper ticket.
