Wiper Hired Goons and Thugs To Assault Me During Last week’s Machakos Prayer meeting – Waita

Machakos Gubernatorial Candidate Nzioka Waita has spoken after the incident that occurred last Friday during religious leaders’ meeting with Azimio leadership at Machakos Town.

Speaking after launching a borehole at Kwa Kathule area in Kangundo sub-county, Waita alleged that Wiper Gubernatorial candidate for Machakos county Wavinya Ndeti hired goons and thugs to assault him.

Waita revealed that they had been informed that they are going for prayers with Azimio La Umoja presidential candidate only for him to realize it was a ploy to attack and assault him.

“You see what happened in Machakos during the prayer rally when we had received Raila Odinga. They invited us and told us that we go to a prayer meeting to meet with over 3,000 religious leaders to talk to them,” he narrated.

“I was shocked when we entered we found thugs and goons, while I was trying to pray they sent thugs to assault me saying that I should get out, I asked why should I get out and am in with the Azimio presidential candidate, they tried all they could to get me out of there but nothing happened to me,” Waita added.

The CCU party leader said that the Wiper party was to blame for the lack of development in Machakos county run by Governor Mutua noting that if it was not for Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to introduce Mutua the people in Machakos wouldn’t have voted for him.

“All this poverty in Machakos has been brought by Wiper Party. Mutua was introduced to the people of Machakos by Kalonzo, they practice bitter politics and it is high time we elect leaders, not parties they are affiliated to,” Waita advised

On Friday during a prayer meeting bringing together over 3000 clergy members from Lower Eastern at Machakos Town, former Kivaa MCA Alex Kathinzi who is the CCU proposed speaker of Machakos county assembly was bundled out of the meeting after he was told that he had not been invited in the event. A commotion was also witnessed after the arrival of Nzioka Waita at the function.
