Wavinya sacks Education CECM after 3 weeks in office

Machakos Education CEC Philip Mutua Kilonzo has been dismissed from work just three weeks after being moved to the docket.

In a letter signed by Governor Wavinya Ndeti, the CECM was sacked after his performance was reviewed.

His position will be taken over by the CEC roads Consolate Mutisya. Kilonzo had just been moved from the Lands ministry three weeks ago.

“I have today terminated with immediate effect the contract of Hon. Philip
Mutua Kilonzo, currently serving as the County Executive Committee Member
(CEC-M) for Education. I have reviewed his performance and conclude that it is
untenable for him to continue holding office as a CEC-M, “read the letter.

We sincerely thank the CECM for his service in County leadership since his appointment into office. I hereby, with immediate effect re-assign CECM Roads, Transport and Public Works Hon. Dr. Consolata Mutisya to the Department of Education,” it read further.
