Machakos Senator Agnes Kavindu has vowed to deal with Ukambani leaders who will stand in the way of Kalonzo Musyoka’s anticipated 2027 presidential bid.
Speaking at the Full Gospel Church in Mwingi, where she accompanied Musyoka, Kavindu stressed the importance of unity and support within the Ukambani region to strengthen his campaign.
“Yule mtu atasimama hapa katikati kutoka Eastern kupinga hii kiti ya president tutapita na yeye. Na ukweli ni huo. Kama wanataka, waombe ile yao,” she asserted, making it clear that any opposition from within would not be tolerated.
“Hata tunapoenda kuchukua hii kiti ya president, kile kitu tunataka ni mtoe kichwa na mkatae na hii kiti,” she declared, urging unwavering commitment to wiper leaders presidential quest as she named Kalonzo as one of the key pillars for her senatorial seat success.
Kavindu further likened the upcoming election to an approaching storm, expressing confidence that this time, their efforts would bear fruit while implying that the long wait was coming to an end.
“Hii ndio mara yetu ya saba ya kuangalia mawingu, na mawingu yako, na itashuka na mvua itanyesha kubwa ya upresident wa Kenya kutoka Eastern,” Senator Kavindu went on.
Kavindu’s call for solidarity comes at a crucial moment as political alliances and strategies for the 2027 elections begin to take shape. The success of Musyoka’s bid will largely depend on the unity and commitment of Kamba leaders and their constituents.
