Shock engulfed residents of Tala Market in Machakos County after a 6-month-old foetus was found dumped in a garbage bin.
According to residents, the foetus was found wrapped in a polythene bag and dumped inside the bin.
Matungulu Bodaboda Chairman Joel Mwendwa said that it was shocking to see such happen noting that it is high time the cases were looked into as they were becoming rampant.
“We are not getting what is happening in our market because a month later we had a similar case of an infant dumped in a garbage bin and now we have another one,” said Mwendwa.
“These cases are now becoming rampant. This is not good because a child is a gift from God, if you feel you are not able to raise your child kindly don’t carry one or give to children’s homes,” he added.
Police took the body to Kangundo Level Mortuary as investigations commence.
