Diaspora and Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Dr. Alfred Mutua is in mourning following the death of his barber.
Taking to his social media, Mutua said that Francis Kinyua had been his barber for 24 years and it was heartbreaking to learn that he had passed on after being with him on Thursday last week.
“Sad day. Heartbroken: It’s with great sadness and shock that I’ve Just received news that my barber of 24 years, Mr. Francis Kinyua aka Mkirinyaga, collapsed at his workplace yesterday and sadly he later passed away,” Mutua said.
He revealed that he met his barber in 1999 and since then he has been following him in every shop that he moved to.
“We met in the year 1999 at Kenyatta market and he has been my barber ever since. I have followed him to many Barber shops to date. He is the only barber who has cut my hair in Kenya (including just last Thursday) He was a man that I practically considered family,” The CS added.
He noted that his barber’s blood pressure was high that causing him to collapse and upon reaching the hospital he was pronounced dead. Mutua promised to take of his barbers’ children.
“His blood pressure was found to be very high before his sad demise. He was 55 years old. Rest In Peace, my dear friend. I will ensure that your children duly complete their studies, he said.
